Highlights of our 2002 Christmas Service

◄ The latest trend in Bethlehem

The Angels appearing to the somewhat frightened shepherds. The Angels were members of the Sign Language Choir and signed "Glory in the Highest."

◄ Joseph (Nick Chan) with Mary (Ruth Metzger) wondering what the sheep (Lori Ann Moessner) is doing. Actually the sheep was just watching the baby Jesus and singing quietly.

[picture coming soon] Thought you’d like to see the Christmas photo of Samuel and Carla Sieb’s family. Their two children are Trenton (18 months) and Quinton (3 months). The family lives in Coquitlam, B.C. Carla and Samuel both were Joy Fellowship camp helpers for many years before they got married. We pray for this family regularly.

Meet Cathy ► [picture coming soon]

If you check out our web site at www.joyfellowship.bc.ca you will notice photos of camps, our current newsletter and prayer letter, information about our history etc. and links to disability ministries and one intriguing button marked Visitor Links. This one suggests many places you could visit while you are in Vancouver.

Our website is the loving creation of Cathy Gilstrap, once a University roommate of Joy’s and now living with her husband, Dave, in Virginia. Cathy is a gifted flute player. She is working from home proofreading books for a Christian publishing company and in her spare time keeps our website updated and forwards any questions and letters she receives from the site.

If you spend some time exploring the site you will find a Bible Verse of the Day, a Daily Devotional, a guest book, and even a site that gives you Vancouver’s current weather. You can also receive notification when this newsletter and our prayer letters are posted.

We are very thankful for Cathy’s partnership with us even though she lives so far away and wanted you to know the gift that she is and has been to us. Thank you, Cathy!!

[picture coming soon] Terry, Kerry and Peggy Dempsey live in New Hampshire. We have fond memories of Peggy’s time with us as an intern (our first I believe), of their trip to Vancouver when Kerry was quite young and of our team trip to New Hampshire in 2000. The family play so many games while driving: counting U.S. flags (and there are LOTS of them), shouting "I Love Andrew " when you see a motorcycle, calling out "carrot" when a taxi was seen and for a police car one calls out "Step on the Gas Go So Fast."
